Welcome to the Yellow Room!

Our Pre-K daily schedule focuses on fine motor and language/cognition abilities and other kindergarten readiness skills. Building in more structured activities with an increasing academic focus will encourage progress on your child's developmental milestones.

A Day in the Yellow Room

A typical day in the Yellow Room begins with a warm welcome and time for independent play as children transition into their day. Once everyone has arrived, the class gathers for circle time to sing songs, share stories, and build a sense of community. Children then engage in a variety of hands-on learning experiences through activity centers, art projects, and early academic tasks. Outdoor play offers opportunities for movement and exploration before the group comes together again for lunch and a restful nap or quiet time. In the afternoon, children enjoy sensory activities, puzzles, and group games, along with a healthy snack. The day ends with a closing circle and time for outdoor or choice play before pick-up.
